Vegetables, we like it or not. We know that we must eat it because it is good for your health.
Moreover, we often hear repeating “Eat at least 5 fruits and vegetables a day”. Yet many of them are left out by their appearance, smell, taste or texture.
Although they are healthy and integrate easily into a balanced diet, Top Santé has identified 15 of these vegetables hated by the French. We therefore find: spinach, Brussels sprouts, broccoli, endive, asparagus, avocado, salad, turnip, leek, beetroot, eggplant, salsify, fennel, the heart of palm and finally the artichoke.
All these vegetables are low in calories and contain a number of nutrients. For the most part they are filled fiber, vitamins, minerals etc. Their benefits are multiple on the body especially at the level digestive systems and cardiovascular.
Bad childhood memory with a vegetable, try the experience again
If these vegetables are not liked, it is often that they left us a bad memory. Yep, we’ve all eaten vegetables that weren’t well cooked. Whether in the canteen when we were little, in the restaurant perhaps or during a family meal. Results ? We do not want to try the experience again and we sulk the vegetable (s) in question.
However, we advise you to give the vegetable that disappointed you a chance. Maybe you will have a pleasant surprise? Especially that tastes change as you grow up. Today, you probably have a better idea of what you like and don’t like in the kitchen in terms of flavor. If you are reluctant to eat a vegetable that you left out, consider incorporating it into a prepared dish quiche, pie, gratin or lasagna. It’s a good way to rediscover it without too much risk. To your stoves!
