Regarding “beauty blenders” – those egg-shaped foam foundation sponges – brands recommend daily cleaning with soap and water, and regular washing in the washing machine.
However, Julianna Asouzou, a 19-year-old London law student, may have found another technique, faster and more efficient: the microwave. In a video posted on Twitter and already liked more than 100,000 times, the young woman places her beauty blender (dirty) in a glass filled with soapy water and slides it all in the microwave for 1 min.

Surprise: the accessory, initially covered in foundation, comes out like new! Obviously, her beauty / health tip was immediately imitated … with varying degrees of success. Internet users thus post photos of their beauty blender completely melted after a passage in the microwave … For the technique to work, it is indeed necessary to completely immerse the accessory in soapy water.
