Price-wise, the bar is getting lower and lower. It is OnePlus with the Buds Z2 that puts the threshold of noise canceling below 100 euros.
The Chinese tech company OnePlus doesn’t happen overnight with the Buds series. The brand has since released several variants. The OnePlus Buds Z2 is now added. A new set of wireless earbuds with noise canceling for a reasonable price. The brand says that with these caps it is making noise canceling accessible to a larger target group.
Now you have noise canceling and you have noise canceling. This means that there can be a considerable difference in quality between products. A pair of Sony headphones worth a few hundred euros is obviously better at filtering sounds than these types of earphones that cost less than a hundred euros. OnePlus says the Buds Z2 are capable of filtering out noise up to 40 dB. Furthermore, the earphones are equipped with 11 mm dynamic drivers and a trio of microphones on each earpiece, which facilitates a telephone conversation.
The battery life of the caps is 38 hours. There is support for Flash Charge. That means you can listen to music or podcasts for five hours after just ten minutes of charging. The Buds Z2 will be available in the colors Pearl White and Obsidian Black. They have an IPX4 rating, for protection against water droplets. Taking them to the gym in combination with a heavy sweat session is therefore no guarantee that they will continue to do it.
The OnePlus Buds Z2 will be available in Pearl White from December 20. The Obsidian Black variant will follow in January. The suggested retail price is 99 euros.
