Go well prepared for the winter

And, did you enjoy our beautiful Dutch summer? We neither. Either way, it’s over, making way for seasons that are even wetter and colder. And that means you have to start thinking about tires that can handle those conditions better than your current summer ones. But what to do? No worries. Goodyear has a conclusive answer to every question that may arise.
Winter tires?
Of course, winter tires are always a good idea. You know: they already start to prove their undeniable usefulness at temperatures from 7 degrees Celsius. At and below that temperature, and certainly in combination with wet or slippery conditions, winter tires provide many times more grip. And if the weather gods really get it this winter, you will drive incomparably much safer with winter tires. If you have winter sports plans, the choice is easily made.
Fortunately, Goodyear has a wide range of award-winning winter tires that are guaranteed to suit your car and your requirements. If you have an SUV, there is extra good news: the Goodyear UltraGrip Performance+ is now also available in the usual sizes for these cars. The Traction Protect Technology uses a new type of resin that improves the deformation and recovery capacity of a tire. As a result, braking forces are now even better translated into grip. Winter Grip Technology also relies on a new rubber compound with greater elasticity at low temperatures for extra traction on snow and ice. This way you kill two birds with one stone: one safely into the winter, and with the latest, most advanced tire that Goodyear has in this area. Of course, the Goodyear UltraGrip Performance+ is the proud bearer of the certified 3-Peak Mountain Snowflake symbol.
Or 4-season tires?
However, we can also imagine that you think: ‘John, those Dutch winters of today, that doesn’t mean anything anymore, does it? Aren’t pure winter tires a bit overkill then?’. You definitely have a point there. And for that, too, Goodyear has an excellent answer in the form of the Vector 4Seasons series. These tires have already proven themselves to be a winner on the road and in comparative tests. These 4-season tires are characterized by a much better grip on snow, a shorter braking distance and improved handling on dry surfaces, and an excellent resistance to aquaplaning over the entire life of the tyre. Goodyear 4-season tires are available for ‘normal’ passenger cars as well as SUVs and vans. You must have a very peculiar car if Goodyear does not want a 4-season tire for it.
You see: with Goodyear you will enter the winter safely and well prepared, whether it is better or not!
