And not because of permanent damage to the retina

Tuner Mansory’s work can often be called scandalous, but it is usually not illegal. There are exceptions, such as this Ferrari 488 which has been converted into ‘Siracusa 4XX’. The brightened up Ferrari is clearly inspired by the FXX K, Ferrari’s track toy. That goes down the wrong way at the Italian brand. Ferrari believes it infringes intellectual property and the judge agrees. That reports Reuters.

Especially the V-shape in the nose of the Siracusa looks too much like the Ferrari FXX K. According to Reuters the judgment has a broad impact for other companies that rely on designs of existing products, although they do not yet give specific examples. We can imagine that Misha Design will also receive a letter. Also, no amount is mentioned that Mansory has to pay. For now, the Siracusa is still on the Mansory website, but it will soon disappear or the body kit will be modified. Unfortunately we still have the pictures.
About the Ferrari FXX K
The Ferrari FXXK is a project of Ferrari’s Corse Clienti division. It is a converted LaFerrari for the track and it was made in a very limited edition. Target group: the super-rich part of the already existing clientele, lovers of ultimate high performance-cars for whom a special one off, or driving an old Formula 1 car is not enough.
The Ferrari FXX K has 100 horsepower more than the original LaFerrari. Of the total power, 860 hp is generated by the 6.3-liter V12, the electric motor delivers the remaining 190 hp. The V12 has new camshafts, modified intake manifolds and an exhaust system from which the mufflers have been removed. Incidentally, today there is an even more extreme FXX K Evo.
