Friday, July 8: red flag
Traffic is expected to be very busy on the main roads from Friday. Bison Futé raises the red flag in Île-de-France, as well as in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. Vacationers and workers will meet around the major cities, which will increase the density of traffic a little more. This will be the case in particular from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. between Orléans and Tours, and from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. between Lyon and Orange.

- leave or cross Île-de-France before 12 noon;
- avoid the A1 motorway, between Paris and Senlis, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.;
- avoid the A10 motorway, between Orléans and Tours, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.;
- avoid the A7 motorway between Lyon and Orange from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and between Salon-de-Provence and Marseille from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.;
- avoid the A62 motorway, between Bordeaux and Toulouse, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Saturday July 9: Bison Futé sees black
Saturday July 9 will be the most difficult day of the weekend. Bison Futé hoists the black flag, especially on the A7 motorway in the Rhône Valley. The rest of the territory is classified red with very heavy traffic. In the Paris region, the difficulties will be felt especially in the direction of the toll gates of the A6 and A10 motorways, and this, from the end of the morning. You might also experience slowdowns on the A13 until mid-afternoon.
On this day of Saturday July 9, Bison Futé recommends:
- leaving or crossing Île-de-France after 4 p.m.;
- avoid the A10 motorway at the Saint-Arnoult-en-Yvelines toll gate from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. and between Orléans and Tours from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.;
- avoid the A11 motorway between Paris and Le Mans from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and between Le Mans and Angers from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.;
- avoid the A84 motorway, between Caen and Rennes, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.;
- avoid the A63 motorway, between Bordeaux and Bayonne, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.;
- pass the Fleury toll gate on the A6 after 1 p.m.;
- avoid the A7 motorway between Lyon and Orange from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. and between Salon-de-Provence and Marseille from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.;
- avoid the A62 motorway, between Agen and Toulouse, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.;
- avoid the A61 motorway, between Toulouse and Narbonne, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.;
- access to Italy via the Mont-Blanc tunnel (N205), heavy traffic from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. (waiting more than 30 min).
Sunday July 10: still some difficulties
On the last day of the weekend, traffic will be generally fluid over most of the territory. It will still be necessary to be more vigilant once again on the A7 motorway in the direction of the South, where the traffic is classified orange.
Advice for this Sunday, July 10:
- avoid the A7 motorway, between Lyon and Orange, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.;
- avoid the A62 motorway, between Agen and Toulouse, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.;
- avoid the A61 motorway, between Toulouse and Narbonne, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
