Take a Suzuki Jimny, add a small living room with kitchen and sleeping area, and you get an all-terrain XS-format motorhome capable of taking you to bivouac anywhere in the shelter, provided you travel light .
In the family of the most unusual motorhomes, after the Citroën C15 and the Audi 100, here is the Suzuki Jimny. In the United Kingdom, there is indeed a copy of the third generation of the pocket off-roader turned into a motorhome. Barely larger than a doll’s house, the cabin offers a reduced space but optimized to the maximum for (small) excursions.
A nomadic “maid’s room”
Thus transformed, this 2003 Suzuki Jimny is a little longer than the original but not wider; on the other hand, it is much higher (2.60 m). Its body is coated in scratch-resistant gray paint contrasted by black rims shod with all-terrain tires. Thanks to the step fixed on the rear door not far from the spare wheel, you can access the living space. This includes a two-burner hob, fridge, and sink connected to two tanks: one for clean water and the other for waste water.
The headroom being barely more than 1.50 m, a seat was installed on a rear wheel arch to allow comfortable use of the devices. These are supplied with electricity by a dedicated battery, and it is possible to connect to the mains. A mezzanine bed has been installed above; to sleep there for two it is better to like the proximity.

Still a real off-roader
The hood of this Jimny houses the same 80 hp 1.3 L four-cylinder petrol engine as the standard models. This block is always associated with a disengageable all-wheel drive (rear-wheel drive in 4×2) with transfer case via a five-speed manual gearbox, enough to venture off the beaten track without difficulty. This could give ideas to some while leisure vehicles are gaining more and more followers, unfortunately the company behind the transformation of this Jimny is unknown.
