Food plays a role in our health. Adopting a healthy and balanced diet helps to fight against many diseases and cancers and strengthens our immune system. Regular consumption of fruits and vegetables rich in antioxidants and vitamins helps to fight inflammation. Other molecules that compose them also prevent cancers or accentuate the death of cancerous cells (apoptosis).
In the case of prostate cancer, certain foods are to be favored and others to be avoided.
Foods at risk are made up of saturated fatty acids also called “bad fats”. We find in particular dairy products, red meat and cold cuts. You should also be careful with products containing polyunsaturated fatty acids. rich in omega 6 which attack the prostate like the different oils (grape seed, walnut, corn, soy, sunflower…).
Favorite foodser have different properties acting on the prostate to protect it or fight against cancer. We identify cruciferous vegetables, fatty fish and vegetable oils, tomatoes, green tea, turmeric, soy foods, avocado, pumpkin seeds and water.
You can also consume products containing selenium which would offer a protective effect. It is a mineral found mainly in whole grains such as rice, wheat and nuts. However, it seems more effective in men with low levels of selenium in the body and at high doses it can be harmful.

According to one study, men who exert themselves physically have 45% chance of not suffering from prostate cancer. Regular physical activity is therefore recommended. Conversely, obesity would be a factor in cancer relapse. Men therefore have an interest in monitoring their weight.
