Adults with a penchant for spicy foods are more likely to lead more eventful lives and are more likely to see themselves as attractive, a study has found.

Some people love to eat spicy foods, while for others eating spicy is impossible. According to investigation conducted by OnePoll, there is a link between our high taste for food and our temperament. To reach this conclusion, the experts questioned, between November 1 and 7, 2,000 adults living in the United States.
According to the results, 7% of Americans surveyed do not like to eat spicy dishes. A total of 93 participants said they preferred some degree of chili peppers. Nearly four in ten (36%) say they prefer the ‘spicy’ level, 33% the ‘mild’ level and 24% the ‘strong’ level.
Spicy food lovers describe themselves as confident and adventurous
Among those who prefer spicy foods, 21% consider themselves to be extroverted, compared to 15% of volunteers who prefer very mildly spicy cuisine. Another finding: adults who eat spicy food are more likely to try new activities (76%), to consider themselves attractive (62%) and to be more satisfied with their life (66%) than those who prefer dishes, the degree of the pepper of which is “mild”. Hot pepper lovers are also more likely to describe themselves as creative (54%), confident (51%) and adventurous (44%). “More than three out of five people (76%) like to travel”, can we read in the survey.
Adults hating spicy food would be shy
According to experts, people who tend to eat dishes with sweet peppers are more likely to describe themselves as empathetic (41%) and shy (37%). As for those who like to eat “spicy” food, they consider themselves to be calm (50%) and curious (44%).
