Xiaomi has presented the CyberOne. The second robot from the Chinese tech company.
In the past, Xiaomi has shown that it is serious about developing robots with the Cyberdog. The tech company is now taking the next step with the CyberOne. A robot that resembles a human in design. Look, that’s serious!
The Xiaomi CyberOne has two legs and two arms with a torque of up to 300 Nm. The robot can recognize human emotions and is able to create virtual reconstructions of the real world.
This robot is 1.77 meters long and weighs 52 kg, with a wingspan of 168 centimeters. Xiaomi has equipped the CyberOne with more powerful engines, better movement capabilities and advanced algorithms compared to the previously released Cyberdog.
CyberOne supports up to 21 degrees of freedom in motion and achieves a (real-time) response speed of 0.5 ms for each degree of freedom, fully simulating human movements. The robot is able to lift an object weighing 1.5 kg with one hand.
The new Xiaomi CyberOne was developed as a tool for humans. Perhaps in the future we will have a robot at home if we become infirm ourselves. The robot can help in daily tasks. It still sounds a long way off now, but the future is really coming.
