Confiscated from drug traffickers, seven luxury vehicles were recovered by the Brazilian federal police and integrated into their fleet: Range Rover Velar, Porsche Cayenne, BMW 330i, Mercedes Class E, Toyota Tundra … They join the Dodge Challenger and Chevrolet Camaro already seized.
In Brazil, an operation against organized crime enabled the federal highway police to equip themselves with seven luxury vehicles confiscated from drug traffickers. The cars were transformed to integrate the fleet and unveiled at a ceremony, some photos of which were posted on the Instagram account of the institution.
The operation called “Status”, organized by the Federal Prosecutor’s Office of Mato Grosso do Sul in Brazil, led to the seizure of seven models ranging from sedans to SUVs. Belonging to drug traffickers, powerful vehicles have all received a blue covering and yellow stickers of the PRF, the ” Polícia Rodoviária Federal “. The fleet consists of a Range Rover Velar, a Porsche Cayenne, a Mercedes Class E, a Toyota Tundra, a Jeep Grand Cherokee and two BMW 3 Series.
Rather sporty cars joining the ranks of the police
The two BMW 3 Series sedans are in two different versions: the first is a petrol 320i from 2020, equipped with a 2.0 of 184 hp, while the second is a 330i from 2019, equipped with the same 2.0 pushed to 258 hp. The 2019 Mercedes E-Class is an E 300 version, equipped with a 2.0 turbo petrol engine of 245 hp associated with a nine-speed automatic gearbox.
On the SUV side, the Brazilian federal police can also count on a Range Rover Velar in its P300 version, with a 2.0 turbo of 300 hp. The English SUV is completed by a German compatriot, the Porsche Cayenne. Here in a GTS version, the 2015 model has a twin-turbo 3.6 V6 of 440 hp. An older Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited, equipped with a 286 hp 3.6 V6, is also in the game.

A Toyota Tundra pickup directly imported from the United States
Finally, more surprisingly, the presence of a Toyota Tundra visibly imported from the United States by the traffickers. The pickup has never been sold in Brazil or in Europe, but has been marketed for several years in Uncle Sam’s country, notably against the legendary Ford F-150. The Toyota is equipped with an atmospheric 5.7 V8 developing 386 hp all the same.
These seven vehicles in the colors of the Brazilian Federal Highway Police were unveiled during a ceremony to celebrate the institution’s 93 years. They join the fleet already made up of two muscle cars confiscated from other thugs: a Dodge Challenger and a Chevrolet Camaro. All of these models are used in the fight against organized crime, although their role is rather limited to the educational events of the PRF. In its Instagram post, the institution also thanks the federal prosecutors who “ support the use of illicit goods to cultivate a culture of respect and encouragement towards public security forces “.
