The Volkswagen ID.3 is no longer available with a 45 kWh battery. The range begins with the 58 kWh accumulator and the price of the remaining versions increases, bringing the starting price of the electric compact to €39,300.
Volkswagen is reducing the number of powertrains in the ID.3 to three at the start of 2022. The Pure Performance configuration, which until then provided the entry level with a “small” 45 kWh battery offering 350 km autonomy WLTP, disappears from the catalog. Access to the electric compact therefore now passes through the Pro version, still strong with a 58 kWh accumulator (417 km WLTP) and a 145 hp rear engine. Note that the price of this model also increases significantly (+ €920), bringing the base price of the ID.3 to €39,300 against €34,750 before the redesign. At the top of the range, we find the Pro S engine, whose 77 kWh battery officially allows you to travel 548 km on one charge.

Three versions for the electric compact
The standard equipment of the Volkswagen ID.3 Pro, Pro S and Pro Performance includes:
- automatic air conditioning
- 5.3” digital dashboard
- 10” central touch screen
- navigation system
- front and rear parking sensors
- adaptive cruise control
- lane keeping aid
- Car2X connectivity
- LED spotlights
- automatic lights and wipers
- heated front seats
- voice assistant…

Volkswagen still relies on equipment packages rather than traditional finishes for its ID models. However, the Business versions of the ID.3 – accessible to professionals as well as individuals – allow the number of variants to be increased to six. For an additional cost of €2,150, the Business configuration adds the Assistance pack, which notably includes the reversing camera, semi-autonomous parking and hands-free opening/closing. Corn it is incompatible with other packs and is more expensive than the Assistance package alone; it is therefore of little interest to individuals.
