Tasty, responsible snacks that are ready in no time at all: we love that! Also fun to make (and eat) these cookies with your grandchildren.
Ingredients
-
100 g dates (preferably Medjoul)
-
100 g oatmeal
-
50 g butter (cold)
-
25 g slivered almonds
Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 180°C.
- Remove the pit from the dates and cut the dates into coarse pieces.
- Mix the dates with the oatmeal in a food processor until granular. Add the butter in pieces and mix briefly (a few times).
- Quickly knead the slivered almonds into the dough with your hands.
- Shape the dough into walnut-sized balls and place on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Flatten the balls with a spoon or the bottom of a glass.
- Bake the cookies in the middle of the oven for 15 to 20 minutes.
Tip: don’t like dates? You can also make this recipe with a mashed ripe banana instead of the dates. Use about 100 grams of ripe banana plus a tablespoon of honey. The cookies will then become less brown.
