It’s summer and for many people that means that the barbecue is working overtime again. Are you making these delicious marinated steak skewers tonight? That’s going to be fun!
Ingredients
-
8 sprigs rosemary (make sure you have firm sprigs)
-
400 grams steak
-
2 tablespoons olive oil
-
2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
-
1 dried chili pepper
-
1 clove of garlic
-
zest and juice of ½ lime
Preparation
- Remove the needles from the rosemary but leave the needles on the top.
- Cut the steak into 2-3 cm cubes. Mix the oil with the vinegar, crumble the pepper on top, squeeze the garlic over the top and mix with the lime juice and zest. Toss the steak through this marinade.
- Thread the cubes of meat onto the rosemary. Prick them with a skewer if the twigs are not firm enough. Place the skewers in a flat dish, pour over any remaining marinade, cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
- Heat the BBQ. Grill the skewers on the hot barbecue for about 5-7 minutes until rosé or cooked, whatever you like. Watch out: the rosemary gets hot!
- Sprinkle the skewers with some salt.
Delicious with a salad of grilled vegetables and, for example, a chimichurri sauce.
Tip: you can also fry the skewers in the frying pan or grill pan.
