A digital and paper version
The document contains two electronic seals in the form of a QR Code allowing the certificate to be stored digitally on their phone. By scanning it, the certificate slips into the “certificate and notebook” section of the TousAntiCovid mobile application. The document has a signature used by the French administration to certify its documents, undoubtedly a process used to thwart counterfeiting.
The vaccination certificate also includes the patient’s last name, first name, date of birth and the due dates for the first and second injection. For people vaccinated before May 3, it will be possible to retrieve the document later “Via a specific teleservice“. French people who are resistant to the digital version will also be able to receive the document in hard copy by mail.
A first step towards the health pass
This Monday, May 3, the Scientific Council ruled in favor of the use of the health pass but used “on a temporary and exceptional basis”. The health pass could come into force at the beginning of June 2021, following the different stages of deconfinement (May 19, June 9 and June 30).
