The Toyota Yaris is the subject of a new price increase at the beginning of the year. However, this increase only concerns the 100% petrol versions of the city car, excluding the GR. The hybrid variant also escapes this. The access price of the Yaris increases to €18,650.
Most manufacturers are revising their prices upwards at the start of 2022, and Toyota is no exception to the rule. The Japanese giant applies a €400 increase in the prices of Yaris equipped with three cylinders 1.0 l VVT-i with 70 hp and 1.5 l VVT-i with 120 hp, two 100% petrol units exclusively associated with a manual gearbox with five gears in the first case and six in the second. The most modest model therefore requires €18,650 in the entry-level Dynamic finish. For the 120 hp Yaris, count 19,850 € minimum. Pricing for the Yaris Hybrid and GR Yaris remains unchanged. The French competitors of the city car, Peugeot 208 and Renault Clio in the lead, also saw their prices change in January.

Two finishes only in essence
No change in staffing is to be reported concerning the Toyota Yaris VVT-i, which are still offered in only two equipment levels. The Dynamic configuration includes among others:
- manual air conditioning;
- a central 7-inch touch screen;
- a reversing camera;
- automatic lights and wipers;
- adaptive cruise control;
- a line crossing alert;
- lane keeping assistance;
- a fatigue detector;
- 15-inch steel wheels with hubcaps.

The Design finish adds in particular:
- a digital dashboard;
- a central 8-inch touch screen;
- LED lights;
- electric rear windows;
- 16 inch alloy wheels.
