See that’s really fast. Last week the announcement, this Friday already playing Call of Duty: Vanguard!
We go back to World War II. Fortunately not in real life, but in the Call of Duty game world. Activision’s announcement came last week. A little later than usual, but okay. This fall, we can rock in Call of Duty: Vanguard. Or well, actually this Friday. Because then a trial version of the game will go live and you will have a chance to play Call of Duty: Vanguard.
There are rules attached to the alpha beta. First off, the beta is coming exclusively to PlayStation. So if you have an Xbox or PC, you’re out of luck. You must also pre-order the game. Now the latter is not so difficult. For example, you can pre-order to play the alpha and cancel the pre-order later. For example if you don’t want to be tied to anything or because you are simply not convinced of the game. That is of course also possible. The beta can be played on both the PlayStation 4 and the PS5.
The servers will open from August 27. You’ll get the chance to play Call of Duty: Vanguard through August 29. This is about multiplayer and trying out just one game mode. That’s the new Champion Hill mode. Within Champion Hill you have two options to play during the beta. Namely Duo (2v2) or Trio (3v3).
Champion Hill is a survival game mode where you compete against other teams. Everyone has the same weapons. However, in the game you can earn money to gradually buy other weapons. The more opponents you shoot, the better you can make your loadout. How extensive Champion Hill is in the beta remains to be seen. You can get a preview in the video below. Have fun playing the Call of Duty: Vanguard beta!
