The senators voted for the bill, already adopted in October 2011 by all deputies, aimed at gradually eliminating bisphenol A in food containers. From the 1er January 2013, this endocrine pertrubator will be banned in the manufacture of packaging containing food or drink for children under 3 years of age. The senators postponed until July 1, 2015 the generalization of this ban to all forms of containers. A period of time still considered too short by manufacturers to find alternatives to this component.
