The Janssen vaccine therefore becomes the fourth vaccine available in France with Pfizer, Moderna and AstraZeneca.

The Janssen vaccine uses the same technology as the AstraZeneca vaccine since it is a “viral vector” vaccine. The various clinical trials carried out on the vaccine of the European subsidiary of the American group Johnson & Johnson have revealed an effectiveness of 85% for severe forms of Covid-19 and an effectiveness of 66% for preventing moderate to severe forms of the disease. . Unlike other vaccines currently available to fight Covid-19, the Janssen vaccine has a huge advantage: it only requires one injection. From a logistical point of view, it also has the advantage of being stored for three months at standard refrigerator temperatures, which facilitates its distribution to doctors and pharmacists.
