The social networks are sometimes (often?) the scene of very strange tendencies. The latest example is #migrainepose. After the #bambipose which highlighted the posterior or the #tobleronetunnel, a disturbing incitement to thinness, the new fad of it-girls goes all the way to the face (without raising the level). The principle ? Pretend to have headache holding his head with one or two hands seems to be the new inclination of people, from Bella Hadid, to Emily Ratajkowski or Kylie and Kendall Jenner. Glamorous or serious pose, holding your head would refine the face according to the make-up artist Namvo, at the origin of the hashtag #headachepose (#migrainepose in French). “I love this pose because the beauty of the hands frames the face and gives it more structure. I always ask my models to pose like this”, explains the artist to the American magazine Elle. “It’s also a great opportunity to show off your manicure,” she adds.
An initiative experienced as an offense for migraine sufferers
Problem, Internet users do not lean on the side of the famous makeup artist with 127,000 subscribers on Instagram. The #migrainepose trend has turned into a “headache”, resulting in indignant and critical comments on the professional’s Instagram account. Some criticize the stupidity of a hashtag which amounts to making fun of migraine sufferers and trivializing the headachewhose seizures can be very painful. “It is a terrible mockery to [l’égard] billions of us who suffer from migraines”, was indignant one of the Net surfers under an Instagram post of Namvo.
“What disease will be taken for the next pose,” asks another Instagram user ironically.
