At the Lycée Bréquigny, in Rennes, 27 students have complained, since Thursday, January 18, of severe digestive disorders, such as stomach pain and diarrhea. Two of them were hospitalized, reveals West France. They are all resident in the high school boarding school. Another point in common, during the meal on Wednesday evening, the teenagers had the choice between two main dishes and they all chose meat. A health survey has been opened and the results are expected later this week.
The plates will be analyzed
The dishes that were served to the 300 residents of the establishment will be analyzed by the Departmental Directorate of Population Protection (DDP). A questionnaire was also distributed to all sick children. The hypothesis of food poisoning is the most likely so far, but the trail of the virus has not been ruled out. Thus, while awaiting the results of the investigation, hygiene instructions were distributed in the school premises: avoid contact with the sick, wash their hands, disinfect the door handles and the toilets. The two hospitalized students quickly left the hospital, as for the 25 others, they either returned home or were placed apart in the boarding school.
