In her misfortune, the woman was lucky to have a doctor and three nurses on board the plane, as reported by the washington post. “She had the presence of mind to grab the baby and call for help before she passed out”, told the doctor to the American media. Without an adequate tool, the caregivers used the D system to help the young mother. They cut the umbilical cord using shoelaces, used a smartwatch to monitor his heart rate and a sock as a hat to keep the newborn warm.
