With a handy app you can surf the internet on your Apple Watch. We have images of it.
The app is called ‘µBrowser’ and it offers a lightweight browsing experience, which is useful if you don’t have another device with you but want to quickly look something up. It is not that it can be a replacement for your browser on your smartphone. It’s too limited for that. You can quickly search for a URL with it or just search the internet. The app is available in the App Store and costs no more than 1 euro.
Surf the Internet on the Apple Watch
There is no back button, which makes working with the app difficult. The app can also only provide a limited browsing experience for the smartwatch. The developer warns that there are limitations with Javascript and large web pages and that logins will most likely not work. MacRumors has tested the app and posted a video about it on YouTube.
Apple Watch also has a built-in browsing experience, but only in apps like Messages where someone has sent you a link. You can click on the link and browse a webpage. However, you cannot search or enter a URL. Actually, this app completes the work of Apple. Presumably Apple hasn’t done this because they expect few people to use it. It is of course a bit of fiddling to surf on the screen of the watch. However, it can be useful to quickly search for something.
