The methods for choosing the sex of your child are multiplying on the web – some being much more eccentric than others … But this time, the “tip” comes to us from a reliable source: Columbia University (in the -United).
Indeed: American researchers have discovered that a stressed pregnant woman will have a better chance of giving birth to a baby girl since male embryos would naturally be more sensitive to environmental stress – in short: female embryos would be more resistant.
To reach this conclusion, American scientists worked with a group of 187 healthy pregnant women, aged 18 to 45. According to the questionnaires, 17% of them suffered from psychological stress (anxiety, depression …) and 16% of them suffered from physical stress (with high blood pressure and an abnormally high daily caloric intake).
Warning: stress has a negative impact on the health of the unborn child
The researchers saw the participants again after giving birth. They then noted that in women with psychological stress the boy-to-girl ratio was 4 to 9, while in women with physical stress it was 2 to 3. A surprisingly high number of female births per year. compared to national averages, therefore!
However, there is no question of voluntarily stressing yourself (!) With a view to giving birth to a little girl. Because stress has a negative impact on the mother-to-be and the unborn baby – premature delivery, low birth weight, growth retardation, asthma or even eczema … What if we (simply) let Nature do it?
