According to a study published in the journal Sexologiesthe best position for achieving orgasm in heterosexual women is that of missionary, provided that a pillow is placed under the partner’s buttocks.
Research carried out thanks to a couple of doctors
To arrive at this conclusion, the authors of the study studied the physical reactions during sexual intercourse of a couple of healthy doctors, both aged 32.
Several positions were performed and then analyzed: doggy style, missionary without pillow, missionary with pillow and amazon. The researchers thus found that the best position for stimulating blood flow to the clitoris was the missionary position with a pillow, because it allows the pelvis to be elevated.
Missionary position: large Czech study confirms results
“Doggy style produces the least direct contact with the clitoris and results in a negligible increase in blood flow to this organ compared to other positions,” scientists note.
Another study wider community reached the same conclusions in 2020. Nearly 20,000 Czechs then declared that their favorite position for reaching orgasm was missionary, even if amazon was their preference.
