According to a study conducted among students, women are half as likely to reach orgasm during casual sex.
The best sexual emotions of women would take place in the context of a serious relationship. In any case, this is revealed by a study presented at the annual congress of the International Academy of Sex Research. Indeed, while the results of this survey are likely to please a certain number of husbands and, on the contrary, to worry certain Don Juans, the findings of these researchers show that the liberation of women’s sexual behavior does not necessarily contribute to increase their pleasure.
Women declare 2 times less orgasm than men
This study of 600 students shows that women are half as likely to reach orgasm as men, either when they practice oral sex or when they have sex on an occasional basis. According to the authors of this study, this observation confirms previous research carried out by the University of New York which revealed that only 40% of the 24,000 students questioned during five years reached orgasm during one night without tomorrow. Conversely, this previous analysis had shown that this was the case in 80% of men in the same context. In addition, nearly 75% of women who were in a serious relationship said they had had an orgasm during their last sexual intercourse.
“Women probably don’t feel as comfortable during this type of sex, especially expressing what they want or what would make them happy, while men are probably less focused on the pleasure of their partner. partner during a simple adventure, explain these researchers.
‘No-nights’ could undermine morale
At the beginning of summer, a study American had precisely analyzed the consequences of these sexual adventures, and perhaps cooled the ardor of the first vacationers. Indeed, the results of this revealed that young people who had occasional sexual intercourse were more depressed and more anxious than the others. Results that should be taken with caution according to specialists, the authors themselves concluded that they put forward an association and not a causal link. “One could rather imagine that the most anxious, the most depressed people are those who have the fewest stable sexual partners. Alcoholics, for example, are statistically more divorced, and more often have episodic sexual relations,” explained Professor Michel Lejoyeux, psychiatrist at Bichat hospital to whydoctor last June. However, according to some experts, there are still psychological differences between men and women in the practice of casual sex. Women would still be more prone to regret or guilt.
Yet women practice almost as much “casual sex”
Even if it seems that they do not necessarily derive the same amount of pleasure from it, this recent study shows, however, that today they are almost as numerous as men to practice sex without a future. These researchers asked these 600 students to rate their attitude towards casual sex on a 5-point scale. A score of “1” being the most traditional attitude towards this practice and a “5” being the most liberal.
For these scientists, the score “1” therefore meant that the person believed that sex and love were inseparable. As a result, about 36% of women surveyed and 12% of men gave a score of “2” for casual sex, while 13% of women and more than 40% of men declared a more liberal attitude with scores of 4. or 5. Not surprisingly, women who declared a traditional view of this sexual attitude were less likely to reach orgasm than those who declared a more liberal position.
Men and women would therefore not yet be equal when it comes to casual sex. However, if the orgasm is not always there for seducers and Don Juans, the specialists point out that on the other hand the risk of sexually transmitted infections is capable of striking every time.
