Seat is rationalizing its offer in February 2022. The manufacturer is closing orders for engines that are not very popular with customers, as are those subject to a very high penalty. Are concerned: the Arona, Leon, Ateca and Tarraco. The editorial staff of L’argus takes stock!
In this month of February 2022, the Seat brand is simplifying its ranges by closing orders for engines with low diffusion, include those achieving less than 1% of the sales mix and also those subject to a very high penalty in 2022. Are concerned: the Arona, Ateca and Tarraco SUVs as well as the Leon compact.

Seat Arona
Seat León
In compact sedans, the Seat Leon sees the following associations disappear:
- 1.5 TSI 150 hp and manual gearbox
- 2.0 TSI 190 hp connected to the DSG box.
The technical cousin of the Volkswagen Golf 8, therefore emphasizes the 1.0 TSI 110 engine in BVM6, its light hybrid version eTSI 110 DSG7, the 1.5 eTSI 150 hp in DSG gearbox version (from €32,340) or even the strong rechargeable hybrid with the accumulation of 204 hp. Two diesels are still available.

Seat Ateca
For the Seat Ateca SUV, three versions are leaving the range, these are, as for the Leon, the 1.5 TSI 150 BVM6 and 2.0 TSI 190 DSG7 4Drive, the latter being necessarily associated with the all-wheel drive which can be malussed up to €2,544. In addition, the Ateca 2.0 TDI 150 BVM6 is also no longer available.

Seat Tarraco
Finally, its 7-seater big brother, Seat Tarraco is now deprived of the 1.5 TSI 150 BVM6 and 1.5 TSI 150 DSG7 versions. Note that the latter had the palm of the highest penalty in the range with €7,462! The large SUV in the range then refocuses on the 2.0 TDI 150 diesel and especially on the plug-in hybrid version e-Hybrid with 245 hp.
