Just a few months after the original, Samsung is back with the even more attractive Galaxy A52s 5G.
Samsung has gold in its hands with the Galaxy A series. As the S-series continues to get more expensive and more luxurious, many customers are turning to the brand’s wildly popular mid-range smartphones. The Samsung Galaxy A52 also had to end up in that list. After only a few months on the shelves, the brand is focusing even harder on the device, due to the Samsung Galaxy A52s to be released. What’s new? Only the important thing and that is the art of this device.
Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G
The Galaxy A52s is a refresh of the current A52. Actually, the entire device is identical to its predecessor, with one important difference. Samsung equips the A52s 5G with a slightly better Snapdragon 778G SoC. This instead of the current Snapdragon 750G.
Let the 750G have been just a little underpowered for the A52 series. With a maximum clock speed of 2.2GHz, the processor was labeled a minus in many reviews. The updated version, on the other hand, has a slightly sturdier 2.4GHz SoC. Now 200MHz seems like a small difference, but in combination with the improved GPU, an almost doubled upload and download speed and a much better battery consumption, it is a huge step forward. And don’t forget 5G. The standard A52 does not have that, the A52 5G does.
Price and availability
The Galaxy A52 5G therefore seems to have become obsolete due to the introduction of the Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G. Even if you include the price. The Galaxy A52s 5G costs €449 and is therefore only €20 more expensive than the suggested retail price of the predecessor (5G variant). In short, if you are in the market for a Samsung midranger, there is very little against going for the brand new A52s. The device will be available in stores from the beginning of September.
