I have to undergo another bowel examination soon, but am dreading it. The last time I screamed it out in the hospital. Can this not be done under a light anaesthetic? I am a man of 74 years. Hopefully you have a good tip for me.

As far as I know, you can always get a sedation during a bowel examination if you wish. I would just ask. If you don’t get it, you can go to another hospital.
