F1 drivers are eager
Welcome to the inaugural season of TopGear x Circuit Superstars Star in a Reasonably Fast Car Invitational 2021. That’s what you call A Catchy Name. TopGear partners with developer Square Enix and Original Fire Games to start a new competition in the game Circuit Superstars. Stars such as Lando Norris and Romain Grosjean can try to set the fastest time on the famous TopGear circuit.
“Like any racing fan, I’ve always wanted to ride the TopGear track. Circuit Superstars is now making that a reality’, says Grosjean. “The competition is fierce, with drivers from the top of several championships and only one chance to set a fast lap time. It will be exciting to see who comes in number one.’ The races will be broadcast on Square Enix’s YouTube channel.

Commentary on the races is provided by Jack Nicholls of BBC Radio 5. ‘Make no mistake, the game looks cute, but with a short circuit and a camera angle from above, our competitors will find it difficult to get the perfect lap’, said Nichols. On September 9, you can check the first race online. When the full game comes out later this year, you’ll also be able to set a quick time on the TopGear track yourself.
