Forget the Renault Sport models and the RS Line finish! In the Renault group, it is now Alpine that embodies dynamism and sportiness. From then on, a pack called Esprit Alpine will be responsible for dressing, after the Austral SUV, the 100% electric Mégane E-Tech. Discovery.
We mentioned it in the fall of 2020, a label that we called, at the time, “Alpine Line”, and which finally named Esprit Alpine, will bring exclusivity to certain models in the Renault range. The current Renault Clio 5 and the future Renault 5 Electric from 2024 will be affected, for example, but not only them.

The Austral opens the ball!
First up, the Renault Austral compact SUV, the replacement for the Kadjar, will open the ball in the fall of 2022 and will be equipped with this exclusive pack called Esprit Alpine. But afterwards, a Renault Mégane E-Tech 100% electric badged, too, Esprit Alpine is expected in stride.
This watted model will use the same recipe, namely Esprit Alpine logos, with blue “A”s affixed to the front fenders, dark diamond rims sporting a discreet Alpine lettering on a branch as well as a black treatment of the diamonds like spotlights and lights. Similarly, the chrome adorning the strip surrounding the glazed side surface disappears in favor of a black element. This unifies the upper part of the bodywork because the roof is also lacquered in black. A two-tone livery that enhances the body color. In this regard, also finished warm colors such as Sirius Yellow and Volcanic Orange evoking the official color of Renault.
Make way for a slightly more sober and above all more chic palette. Like the color chart of the Austral which offers the following palette: matte gray – a first for a Renault series – metallic gray, white and black, without forgetting a dark blue evoking a little the Alpine of yesteryear. The only slightly eccentric touch, being a bright red, essential for a “sports” car.
“A”s for atmosphere!
On board, the Renault Mégane E-Tech 100% electric Alpine spirit will feature sporty Alcantara upholstery enhanced with blue stitching and Alpine-branded “A” emblems on the front head restraints. The steering wheel of the Mégane “on hold” will also receive Alcantara on the inner part of its rim. Finally, as for the Austral, the central console and the upper part of the dashboard will also receive blue stitching.
“Whether it is the Renault Mégane E-Tech or the Renault Austral, this Esprit Alpine pack is only cosmetic and therefore does not affect the mechanics“
As a reminder, the Mégane E-Tech range is based on a dual offer: a 130 hp electric motor at entry level and a 220 hp version just above.
