After the risks of tattooing, dermatologists point out that erasure techniques have made great progress but so many seaces are necessary.
Aluminum, cobalt, chromium, copper, nickel or even mercury … The list goes on. However, these are toxic products contained in tattoos. Last year, the National Union of Dermatologists (SNDV) launched an “alert on the dangers of tattoos”. In a press release, he recalled that most of these products are carcinogenic when they are located in the dermis and subjected to UV radiation.
This year, dermatologists, who hold their professional days from June 18 in Paris, will devote several sessions to techniques for erasing your tattoo. Of In the United States, nearly a quarter of students have one or more tattoos and half of them seek treatment to remove it a few years later. One in ten French people would be tattooed but this figure seems to be below reality given the dazzling success of this form of bodily expression. On the flip side, those who want to give it up find that it is much easier to imprint the name of his or her ex-fiancé (e) on the skin than to remove it.
How? ‘Or’ What get rid of a tattoo
It’s a act Very peculiar. Very variable, long and expensive, this process must always be done by a dermatologist to avoid the dangers. The latter can use the triggered laser. The shock wave causes the tattoo ink to explode, it is an electromagnetic action. Then, the ink dust is naturally eliminated through the skin. Tattoo artists can be equipped with lasers to remove tattoos. But only doctors are authorized to do this.
Several sessions
To obtain a complete tattoo removal, several sessions are necessary, spaced at least two months apart in order to let the skin rest and limit the risk of white scars. The number, duration and price of the sessions (between 100 and 300 euros) vary according to the density of the pigmentation, the surface of the tattoo and the colors used. On average, between 3 and 10 appointments are necessary.
Tattoo removal is a bit more painful than tattooing, the pain felt dissipating very quickly after the end of the session. In some cases, the doctor will prescribe the use of an anesthetic cream beforehand.
