The tradition of party favors often follows that of good resolutionsamong many French people. What are the most expressed wishes for 2016? The French Federation of Physical Education and Voluntary Gymnastics (FFEPGV) gives some answers. At the top of the list of resolutions is to take a moment to relax. The concern to take more time for oneself and to relax is expressed by 41% of French respondents. Second priority after relaxation is that of to (re) engage in sport: a project expressed by 34% of respondents.
The desire to get back into shape is a good thing, but to be sure to stick to it, you need to boost your motivation by choosing, for example, the sporting activity that you like and by finding equipment adapted to its practice.
Good in their head, good in their sneakers
Another resolution that occupies third place on the podium of aspirations for this new year: the importance of spending time with family and sharing moments with loved ones (33% of respondents). Then comes the resolution to “take more care of your body” for 22% of those questioned.
In the aftermath of the excesses of the holidays, the French do not seem to feel guilty and seem to take charge of their body: only 18% say they want to go on a diet.
* Survey conducted by Ipsos on the Internet from December 11 to 16, 2015 with a sample of 1,000 people, constituting a representative national sample of the French population, aged 15 and over.
