It is not the professor of hematology, a specialist in blood diseases, but the minister who is launching a public consultation on the national health strategy
Agnès Buzyn takes up the technique which has been so successful for its president: Rely on the widest possible consultation of Internet users to legitimize its future decisions.
Until November 25 inclusive, the French will be able to express themselves on the draft national health strategy in a dedicated space hosted on the ministry’s website: strategie.sante.gouv.fr
This consultation should form the framework of the Government’s health policy for the next five years. Internet users will have access to a document resulting from a consultation phase conducted since September with other ministries and with representatives of the health sector, elected officials and users.
They will be called upon to react on the four priority themes identified by the Government:
- Health promotion and prevention.
- Fight against social and territorial inequalities.
- Quality and relevance of care.
- Innovation and the place of citizens in the governance of the health system.
A special place will be dedicated to the health of children, adolescents and young people, to Corsica and to overseas communities. A questionnaire will also allow them to submit their proposals.
Vast program… And a tight schedule for this ambitious project: the responses collected will enrich the draft national health strategy before its adoption by the Interministerial Health Committee in December.
A decree will formalize the national health strategy before the end of 2017.
From the first half of 2018, the national health strategy will be implemented … Now it remains to be seen the exact number of Internet users who will take up this challenge.
We hope for real transparency from the ministry to judge – beyond the originality – the correctness of this approach by the number of Internet users who will participate.
