When you were a pimply teenager, did you also enjoy throwing paper airplanes around the classroom? Time to take your game to the next level and brutally ravage the skies of your office or workshop with the PowerUp 4.0.
PowerUp 4.0 paper airplane
It sounds like Columbus’ egg. Take a paper airplane and build an engine on it. This author once tried that himself, but it’s not really easy, especially because you can’t control the plane. The team behind the PowerUp 4.0 succeeded after all, with remote control.
With the standard paper airplane design of course, which is optimized for the motor with propeller. The balance of the paper plane changes when a motor is attached and it should also be easier to control. So you won’t get there with the standard rocket-like shape.
Due to the mobile and flexible shape of the PowerUp, you can experiment without limits with other shapes of your plane. Was becoming a pilot always your heart’s desire? Then you can enjoy yourself with your small air force under construction.
Possibilities with the PowerUp 4.0
Once you have folded the plane (and that has to be done accurately), you can place the motor on it and control it with your smartphone. The set is quite robust and consists of a motor, a skeleton and two propellers.
Cheaper version without remote control
Do you live in the United States? Then you can order them cheaply on the manufacturer’s site PowerUpToys. For us Dutch, the device is available on Amazon for around € 80. Are you satisfied with a simple version without control with a smartphone? Then you can also order the PowerUp 2.0 there for around €30 including €8 shipping costs.
