According to the French Health Barometer 2015, a majority of French people say they are in good health. In fact, few declare defensive driving in the face of risks.
In 2015, half of French people said they were in good health, this is what emerges from the latest Health Barometer conducted by TNS Sofres (1) published this Wednesday. On this indicator which takes into account the weight, the quality of sleep, stress, depression, or the absence of serious or chronic diseases, the level has been stable since 2012.
16-25 year olds and more connected mothers
But because of this state of general well-being, the French have visibly relaxed their efforts. In this online survey of 1,000 people, 35% of people questioned say they are not very active for their health. An increase compared to 2013 (31%). Acting actively for one’s health takes into account tobacco, alcohol consumption, the quality of the diet, the frequency of snacking, physical activity, the intensity of social relations, and finally medical monitoring. .
Proof of their lack of interest in prevention, only 36% of French people report a physical activity of sufficient intensity to preserve their health (cycling, jogging, walking).
Suddenly, to take care of themselves, would the French rely on the Internet? Not really, the use of connected objects (apps, trackers, etc.) remains marginal (11%).
16-25 year olds (21%) and young mothers (22%) are more courageous and geeky. For these connected patients, the applications have four main uses: sleep, weight, coaching, daily physical activity.
As for the others, e-health has not yet fully convinced them since they are 42% to estimate that their health has improved since the use of a connected tool. 29% talked to their doctor about it.
Finally, 78% consider health prevention websites reliable.
