At Peugeot, from 2022, two light hybridization systems will be launched and above all a new eVMP electrical architecture, the project of which is supported by the future Peugeot 3008, launched at the end of 2023. It is no longer the charismatic Jean-Philippe Imparato, who has left to join the management of Alfa Romeo, who will carry out these plans. It is Linda Jackson, former boss of Citroën, who is now in charge of this mission.

The new Peugeot in 2021
The major novelty of the year is the third generation 308. If the EMP2 base is renewed, it is modernized to receive high-tech equipment (connectivity, autonomous driving …) and especially two rechargeable hybrid versions. It surprises with its dynamic style, its long bonnet and its remote cabin in the manner of the old BMW 1 Series. It inaugurates the new Peugeot logo and changes its dairy since it has been produced since May in Mulhouse and not in Sochaux either. It will be marketed from October 2021.

The new Peugeot in 2022
Fiscal year 2022 will focus on the 308 with the launch of the SW station wagon (P52) but above all with the arrival of a third body in the range (Sedan high on legs of 4.70 m, project P54)., In the course of the year, the 508 will go through the restyling box with an obvious move upmarket.

The new Peugeot in 2023
In 2023, Peugeot will tackle the renewal of its hens that lay golden eggs, namely the 3008 (P64) and the 5008 (P74). For the former, the main novelty will be the launch of a 100% electric version which will use the new Nidec engine and an evolution of the EMP2 platform, called eVMP. Peugeot 208 and 2008 will be restyled during the year with the new multimedia system of the 308 on the program, while the electric versions will feature the new Nidec electric motor and a more powerful battery thanks to an evolution in chemistry.

The new Peugeot in 2024-2025-2026
A time mentioned but abandoned for lack of an adequate platform, the project of a large SUV coupe (6008 or 7008) was back on the carpet in 2019. As part of the merger with FCA, PSA is eyeing the Giorgio platform (renamed STLA Large) from Alfa romeo but ultimately on behalf of DS and Opel. For 2025, Peugeot is preparing a small SUV for South America (P44) which could land in Europe only in electric. That same year, the 308 will go through the restyling box. Developed on the new STLA Small platform (code SMP), the 208 and 2008 will be replaced in 2026. For now, two scenarios are on the table: a 100% electric offer or a thermal and electric offer.
