Launched in September 2021, the Peugeot 308 had hitherto escaped the reassessment of its prices. Since the beginning of January, the sedan has been trading for 650 € more, whatever the version. Ditto for the SW station wagon, which has not yet been marketed.
Will 2021 be a record year for car price increases? One thing is certain, the manufacturers are starting the 2022 fiscal year as they finished the previous one, by increasing prices by a few hundred euros. If the new Peugeot 308, launched in September, had so far escaped punishment, it is caught up by the patrol with an increase of 650 € on all versions thermal and plug-in hybrids. The SW station wagon, which will be released in the first quarter, is no exception either. However, this increase is not accompanied by any additional equipment. Note that cousin Opel Astra has also spiced up its prices by 600 €.
