Orgasm offers a real feeling of euphoria and relaxation. According to an American study, men who ejaculate frequently are more likely to be happy and healthy.
- Every year, World Orgasm Day takes place on December 21.
- Having an orgasm promotes the release of different hormones such as endorphin, dopamine or testosterone.
During an orgasm, different hormones are released. This is particularly the case of endorphins, which have several benefits for morale. This hormone notably promotes falling asleep and reducing stress as well as headaches. At the moment of ecstasy, the body also secretes dopamine, a hormone that offers a real boost of energy.
Ejaculating 21 times a month would promote well-being
In a study published in 2016 in the scientific journal European Urologythere, American scientists have observed that men who ejaculate more than 21 times a month are happier than others. Even if ejaculation does not necessarily cause an orgasm, these two phenomena remain mostly concomitant.
To reach this conclusion, researchers from Harvard and Boston universities analyzed the sexual habits of 32,000 men for 18 years. The ejaculation frequency of the subjects was measured at three periods: between 20 and 29 years old, between 40 and 49 years old and the year preceding the publication of the study results.
Frequent ejaculation would reduce the risk of prostate cancer
During the research, American researchers also found that men who ejaculate more than 21 times per month have a 20% lower risk of developing prostate cancer compared to participants who ejaculate 4-7 times per month. Faced with this result, the scientists put forward a hypothesis. They speculated that the release of hormones during ejaculation would have a protective role. In question ? Hormones would slow down the accumulation of cancer-causing chemicals in the prostate.
Frequent ejaculation also improves sperm quality which deteriorates when a man does not ejaculate regularly.
