Nowadays it seems to be on sale every day online. One discount after another comes along, but how do we deal with this? Especially young women seem to have a hole in their hand, older ladies are more careful about spending money. This is shown by research by Acties.nl
Twenty percent of Dutch women spend more money online shopping than they would actually like. This is evident from research by Actions.nl. The survey was conducted among 1090 Dutch people, conducted by Panelwizard.
Four in ten women under the age of forty have ordered something online, even though they actually had no money for it. Of all participating women, an average of 21 percent has ever done this. It is striking that men only spend 16 percent more on online shopping than they would like and 14 percent sometimes order something when they are actually there. have no money for.
The research also shows that women aged 50+ are less likely to shop online with money they do not have than their younger counterparts. Only 14% of 50-somethings and 8% of women in their 60s spend more than they planned, and only 14% (50-59) and 5% (60+) buy stuff they couldn’t afford, so on credit. When it comes to ”nonsense purchases” – ie ordering products that you don’t actually need – it turns out that women aged 40-49 are slightly less likely to make the cut than people in their fifties: 48% against 50%. The situation is different for men: 40-49 achieves 52% (the only age category in which men score worse than women!) but only 37% in 50-59. By ladies and gentlemen over 60 only 25% sometimes buy an unnecessary product.
