Only the Pur Sport and Super Sport can still be ordered
Finally saved up the last pennies for a Bugatti Chiron? Bad luck, then you have to save a sloppy million extra. The normal Bugatti Chiron is completely sold out – and so is the Chiron Sport. You can now only buy the sportier Pur Sport (3 million euros) or the faster Super Sport (3.2 million euros). There are less than forty of these sports enthusiasts available.
Bugatti is building a total of sixty copies of the Chiron Pur Sport, of which a handful are still available. The Super Sport should not be confused with the Super Sport 300+, of which only 30 were available. The 300+ is no longer available to order, but the Super Sport is. To complete the confusion, there is also the Chiron Sport – but that too is no longer available to order.
Other specials
Not included in the total production number of 500 are the Centodieci (10 units), the Bugatti Divo (40 units), Bugatti Bolide (40 units) and the La Voiture Noire (1 unit). These cars are on the same platform. So you could say that 591 Chirons will soon be built. The hypercar came with some other special versions that were technically similar to the Chiron and Chiron Sport, such as the ‘Les Légendes du Ciel. Bugatti counts this as the normal Chiron in terms of production.
The successor to the Bugatti Chiron
Earlier this year the Croatian Rimac took over the French Bugatti from Volkswagen. In reality, the organization is much more complicated, because Porsche in turn has a large share in Rimac. Although the two car manufacturers will exchange technology and knowledge, the new Bugatti boss has confirmed that the next Bugatti will also have an internal combustion engine. There will also be a fully electric Bugatti.
