That clarity comes from the Duffer brothers, the creators behind the show. They say that the fourth season brings a lot of challenges. Moreover, the fourth season is going to be the biggest season ever. All that waiting will soon be paid off. For example, the season will last twice as long compared to season 3. Reason for Netflix to cut the new season into two pieces.
And we have a date! Stranger Things 4 Volume One is out on May 27. You can then immediately binge the first episodes. My tip is to spread it out over a longer period of time. Volume Two will appear on July 1 with brand new episodes of season 4. In addition, it has been officially announced that a fifth season will follow and this is also the last Stranger Things season. However, there may still be spin-offs to follow, because the directing duo is not yet done with the world of Stranger Things.
