The streaming service gives a glimpse and a spooky first look at the main star of the new top series from Netflix.
The Addams Family is a family created by American cartoonist Charles Addams. He started making comics, but now we know the family mainly from the movies and series. Computer games have also been made about it. Netflix is coming up with a series about a relative of this remarkable family.
Netflix top series
The company has high hopes for the series. In typical Addams Family style, Jenna Ortega . performs in the spotlight as everyone’s favorite ghoulish teenage goth, Wednesday Addams. Tim Burton heads the goth girl spin-off series. Looking at the first images, we see sleek braids down to the winged rose details on her dress. Everything seems tailor-made to introduce a fantastic new series of murder mysteries.
We don’t know much about the series yet. It looks like Wednesday Addams will be taking on the teen role with a deliciously dry twist. The show will be a coming of age comedy. Wednesday will also have psychic powers to contend with, in addition to the other haunted happenings in her haunted home away from home, Nevermore Academy. Eight episodes will be made.

The original Wednesday Addams is also present. After her standout performance in Yellow Jackets, Ricci will once again be part of the Addams household, in a new, unseen character role. Other casting news includes comedian Louis Guzmán as the amiable patriarch Gomez Addams, Catherine Zeta-Jones as the stylish Morticia Addams and Gwendoline Christie in another unnamed role.
