October 12, 2012 – A magnitude 4.5 earthquake occurred overnight from Tuesday to Wednesday around 12:19 am The epicenter was in Saint-Marc-sur-Richelieu, in Montérégie. The earthquakes, which lasted about 20 seconds, were felt throughout the Montreal area, even as far as Ottawa, Quebec and Vermont in the United States.
