I constantly suffer from a smell of cigarette smoke in my nose, even though there is no smoking in my area. I’ve heard that Capsinol nasal drops would help. Is that right?

I don’t know if it will work, but there is a thought behind it. Capsinol is a spray based on chili pepper. It is irritating and is often used in creams against nerve pain: pain caused by pain nerves spontaneously sending signals.
When you smell something that isn’t there, something similar is going on with your olfactory nerve. Capsinol has never been tested for this to my knowledge, but you could try it yourself.
By the way, throat, nose and ear doctors believe that a complaint like yours should be investigated further, because it could also be something in the brain.
