Jan. 17, 2007 – Tired of being tired? Exercise may be the solution to your problem. Indeed, according to an American research, the regular practice of a physical activity would help fight fatigue and replenish energy.
Researchers at the University of Georgia have summarized 70 clinical trials that focused on regular exercise and fatigue. Of the 6,807 individuals identified, several were in good health and others presented with varying physical conditions: fibromyalgia, cancer, multiple sclerosis, lung disease, depression.
According to the results, more than 90% of studies have shown that sedentary people who participated in a regular program of physical activity felt less tired afterwards. Some studies have also shown that other exercise programs, such as yoga or stretching, often have similar effects to training in reducing fatigue.
The researchers also noted that, in some research, regular physical activity was more effective against fatigue than the use of drugs or the use of cognitive behavioral therapy.
