Mercedes EQS Award (2021). The electric sedan from € 127,250

Already taken in hand by our test journalists, the Mercedes EQS did not yet have official prices. The estimate given during the test was € 130,000, and we got it right since the electric sedan begins its marketing in France at 127,250 €. The first models will be delivered in November.

Two versions available, 333 and 524 hp

The Mercedes electric limousine is available in two variants: the entry-level 450+, which offers a power of 333 hp with a single engine, and the more powerful variant 580 4Matic, which has 524 hp thanks to two engines. For the first, the autonomy is announced by Mercedes at 726 km according to the WLTP cycle, while the second version displays a little less, 657 km.

In France, the EQS is currently only available with an AMG Line finish. The equipment is therefore complete from the entry level, which makes sense given the price. Digital meters, hands-free access and starting, Burmester sound system, navigation with augmented reality function, panoramic sunroof, head-up display, rear wheels with an angle of 4.5 ° as standard and 10 ° as an option … On the other hand, the giant Hyperscreen screen is only available on the 580 4Matic version, invoiced 152,800 € with us.

The range expanded thereafter

If the price of the EQS is steep due to a limited offer at launch, it should drop slightly afterwards. To do this, the German limousine should in particular receive a variant with a smaller battery, with a capacity of 90 kWh. A 760 hp AMG sports version is also in the pipeline and will therefore come to top the range in the fall.
