Verstappen’s gonna Verstappen

If there is one well-known athlete who conveys what it is like to be a ‘sober Dutchman’ (and no, Hollander is indeed wrong, because he does not come from those provinces), it is Max Verstappen. In general, ‘it just is what it is’. Moreover, the Dutchman has very different things on his mind for the next two races. This is how Max Verstappen reacted to the departure of Olav Mol as presenter at F1.
Max Verstappen on Olav Mol . departure
“This is a decision of the whole new organization for next year, so yes… If they want to go a different route, then so be it,” Max Verstappen told Dutch reporters from Motorsport.com. He adds: ‘That’s just how life is. At a certain point, certain things stop and you focus on other things again.’ Next year, Ziggo’s rights will go to NENT, which will broadcast the races via streaming service Viaplay. NENT chose Nelson Valkenburg and Melroy Heemskerk as commentators.
Olav Mol can still be heard
There is good news for those who cannot enjoy F1 without Olav Mol’s voice. The experienced F1 connoisseur will continue to be heard on Grand Prix Radio. You can turn down the TV sound and turn on the radio at the same time. You can listen via the GP Radio website or via digital television on channel 832. The radio station is in negotiations to fix the F1 rights for a longer period of time, so Olav will probably still be heard for the time being.
