Lego regularly expands its Speed Champions range. At the start of 2022, five models, three of which are emblematic, are arriving in the catalog: the Lamborghini Countach, the Ferrari 512 M and the 2,000 hp Lotus Evija. Discover these models available from March 1st.
In 2021, Lego had started the year in style by offering a classic Porsche 911 available in a turbo version and a convertible in the same box. In 2022, the Danish manufacturer of the famous plastic bricks is enriching its Speed Champions range with three attractive racing cars and two very competition-oriented kits.

A Countach reduced to brick
The mythical Lamborghini Countach arrives in the catalog in a most emblematic bodybuilt livery clearly evoking the late career LP500 S Quatrovalvole versions, evidenced by the imposing spoiler at the rear, the body kit under the front bumper. The rims with five circular holes are reproduced using stickers. And the quadruple exhausts immediately set the tone. As you will have understood, despite its immaculate white hue, it is not the revival hybrid version called Countach LPI 800-4, it may be for later, however, on this scale and by this assembly method, the difference would hardly be obvious. The car is white with a contrasting red dashboard. The kit consists of 262 parts

The Lotus Evija available in Lego
Second novelty, the Lotus Evija hypercar offered in an English green livery enhanced by yellow elements, a two-tone shell perfectly matching the colors of the brand. By a skilful set of stickers, the cockpit, however identical to that of Lamborghini mentioned above, seems clearly different. A fine example of successful trompe l’oeil. Two models of rims are on the program with five or nine spokes according to your desires. The kit consists of 247 parts. Both are faithfully reproduced which is not always the case in the Speed Champions series.
Motor racing in the veins
Finally, Lego also offers a faithful reproduction of the 1970 Ferrari 512 M with which the manufacturer is committed to endurance racing and notably participated in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. For lovers of more modern cars, the manufacturer offers two kits: one in the colors of Mercedes-AMG and the other of Aston Martin. The first proposes to assemble an F1 and the famous “Project One” project, a hypercar of more than 1000 hp. The other box consists of the Valkyrie AMR Pro and Vantage GT3. Two racing cars that come with 2 pilot minifigures with overalls, helmet and adjustable wrench. All these new Lego products will be launched from 1er March 2022. Prices range from €19.99 for iconic models to €39.99 for kits comprising two vehicles.
