“Intuition is the bare, intimate knowledge of reality, which is not based on knowledge, reflection, logic, defines Saverio Tomasella. It is the perception of fine information about reality without resorting to the mind”. he specifies. There are four forms of intuition:
- memory intuition which is based on the memory of lived experiences,
- unconscious intuition (when we have our back to someone and we feel that this person is watching us),
- logical intuition or metacognition (which consists in finding an answer to a problem at an unexpected moment),
- premonitory intuition or precognition in the form of dreams, flashes of what is going to happen or what has happened without our knowing it.
We live by having hunches all the time, but in our rational and increasingly technical, even virtual culture, we are cut off from our hunches. “An intuition is dazzling, you have to be attentive when it arises to be able to spot it”, emphasizes Saverio Tomasella, who teaches that it is important “to listen to our intuitions because they can help us get better, or even avoid getting sick.”
The intuition to be healthier, even heal
What if we paid attention to the intuitive signals in our body? “It allows you to feel what is good for him, what makes him feel good, how he can heal when he is sick: by resting, sleeping, avoiding eating too much or foods that are too heavy to digest, etc.” explains Saverio Tomasella. Our intuition can thus allow us, for example, to detect a food intolerance, to feel whether a treatment for a non-serious disease suits us or not, if another treatment speaks to us, if food prevents us from digesting well. It can also push us to slow down our pace before reaching a state of exhaustion.
Develop the interpretation of our intuitions
“Intuition does not necessarily provide us with an immediate answer but clues. These can put us on a track. It is up to us to explore it then”, explains the psychoanalyst.
To use our intuitions, we can seek to understand what message it brings us. “We know that states of relaxation and dreaming facilitate access to our intuitions”, informs us Saverio Tomasella. Sophrology, hypnosis, meditation, as well as singing and dancing bring us into a modified state of consciousness, which facilitates the collection of our intuitions.
